Radu Stefan is passionate about motorcycle adventures. He wanted to share that passion with others and started Romania Moto Adventure in 2017. However, he reached the point where he didn’t have a defined process for bookings, managing payments, and inventory. So, he decided to use Booqable to bring more order to these operations, saving time and ensuring all team members have access to the same information.
Romania Moto Adventure
Throughout most of his life, Radu has been passionate about motorcycles and taking them on adventures. In 2017, he decided to share his enthusiasm with others and started Romania Moto Adventure in Bucharest, Romania. The goal was to provide motorcycles to tourists visiting the area and show them an unforgettable adventure across its beautiful landscape.
Romania Moto Adventure primarily serves German-speaking customers who are spending their vacation in Romania. They offer a wide range of BMW motorcycles and guided tours of four, seven, and eleven days. These tours cover 200-250km a day, starting and ending in Bucharest and taking customers all over Romania and South Eastern Europe.
Every motorcycle tour with Romania Moto Adventure is memorable for its customers, and the company has dozens of positive reviews on its Google My Business profile. Over the next few years, Radu has big ambitions for the company, with plans to expand across Southeast Europe with multiple locations. He would also like to increase the range of motorcycles he and his team can offer customers.
Bring order to operations
Until recently, Radu and his team used self-made tools and Excel spreadsheets to manage inventory, bookings, and payments. This made it very time-consuming to make changes, and the documents were often out of sync, so team members looked at different information. This, of course, affected communication and led to challenges like overbooking and missed payments.
Soon, Radu decided it was time to find a system that would bring order to operations, ensure everyone had access to the same information, and make it easy to hand tasks to other team members. The solution? Booqable. He and his team have been able to add inventory to the system and access availability across all orders. This has made it very easy to know what is available and when it’s needed.
Meanwhile, they have been able to create a process for managing bookings from quote to return. Now, customers place a quote request via their website, and a team member processes this and sends a proposal for the customer to approve. Next, a payment request is sent through Stripe along with an invoice, and finally, motorcycles are checked out and in as required.
Time to focus on what’s next
Since implementing Booqable within Romania Moto Adventures, Radu and his team have seen a reduction in admin time. In addition, each team member now has access to the same information, which has improved communication. For Radu, this has also allowed him to focus on what’s next for the business and how to achieve his goals for the upcoming years.
